From Cruise Ships to Fine Art: My Journey as an Artist
Long before I became a full-time artist, I spent years traveling the world aboard cruise ships.
What began as an opportunity to explore new destinations soon became one of the most important chapters of my creative journey. Those years allowed me to experience different cultures, landscapes and perspectives on a scale I could never have imagined.
Working at sea introduced me to people from every corner of the world. Every voyage brought new conversations, new stories and new ways of seeing beauty. Over time, these experiences became an important source of artistic inspiration.
During my years in the cruise industry, I also had the opportunity to work within the world of fine art, helping collectors discover artworks from internationally recognized artists. This experience gave me a unique perspective on both the creative and collecting sides of the art world.
From the Mediterranean and Northern Europe to the Caribbean, Alaska and beyond, each destination left a lasting impression on me. The colours of coastal towns, the reflections of historic cities and the atmosphere of distant places continue to appear throughout my work today.
Travel taught me that beauty exists in many forms. Sometimes it can be found in grand architecture and famous landmarks. Other times it appears in quiet moments, unexpected encounters and small details that many people pass by without noticing.
Having visited more than 120 countries across six continents, I developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and human connection. These experiences continue to influence the themes of travel, femininity, curiosity and discovery that often appear in my paintings.
Today, my artwork reflects not only the places I have visited, but also the emotions and memories connected to those journeys.
Every painting becomes a way of sharing a small part of that experience with others.
Looking back, I realize that my path from cruise ships to fine art was never a straight line. Yet every destination, every conversation and every voyage helped shape the artist I am today.
