The Inspiration Behind “Modern Muse”
“Modern Muse” was born from a journey that extended far beyond geography — a journey through art, culture, memory and self-discovery.
Before dedicating myself fully to creating my own collections, I spent years immersed in the international art world with Park West Gallery. There, I had the privilege of working alongside artworks by masters such as Rembrandt, Picasso and many other celebrated artists. Surrounded daily by extraordinary creativity and timeless storytelling, I developed a deeper appreciation for the power of art to transcend generations.
At the same time, a lifetime of travel was shaping my perspective. Having visited more than 120 countries across six continents, I became fascinated by the way cities blend history and modernity, tradition and innovation.
The idea for “Modern Muse” emerged during quiet moments in places such as Venice, New York, Paris, Hong Kong and Seoul. Each destination contributed something unique — a colour, a reflection, an atmosphere, a memory.
I wanted to create more than a portrait.
I wanted to create a character who embodies the spirit of the contemporary woman: elegant yet strong, cultured yet curious, rooted in history yet constantly evolving.
“Modern Muse” is a bridge between worlds and eras.
She carries memories in her gaze, stories in her reflections and possibility in her presence. Through her sunglasses, fragments of places, dreams and experiences merge into a single narrative.
She is not one person.
She is every woman who continues to explore, learn, create and reinvent herself.
Through layers of colour, symbolism and contemporary figurative painting, “Modern Muse” celebrates beauty, resilience, culture and the timeless pursuit of inspiration.
She is an urban queen, a traveler, a dreamer and a storyteller.
Above all, she is a reminder that the most meaningful journeys are often the ones that transform us from within.
