A Quiet Encounter I is an original contemporary figurative oil painting from my Modern Muse series.
I created this painting around the delicate relationship between femininity, nature and stillness.
A solitary woman enters luminous waters, surrounded by the gentle curiosity of gathering white swans. The vibrant orange and red tones transform the water into a reflection of warmth, energy and emotion, while the swans bring a sense of grace and tranquillity to the scene.
Inspired by the timeless beauty of classical painting and the poetic details of everyday life, I wanted to capture a moment that feels both intimate and universal.
For me, this painting is about connection — those unexpected encounters when the world seems to become quiet for a moment, allowing us to simply observe, feel and exist.
The contrast between the woman’s presence, the movement of the water and the stillness of the swans creates a dialogue between strength and gentleness.
